Just finished up my second body...
Not sure what happened to the RCS chrome, but I sprayed 3 light coats then backed it with waterbased black. Kinda looks like brushed gunmetal.

Seeing all these bad ass paint jobs makes my anticipation go through the roof... Waiting on 4 bodies from FAZE from Hazardous Paintwerks... Getting 2 SC's, a B4.1, and a Late Model body... All with the same scheme just different primary colors... Going with the Denver Broncos colors with whatever twist Brandon comes up with... I can't wait to show them off on this page...
Great to see an F1 in this forum. I don't think I've seen one of those in a while. Nice job too!
I did this one for myself. Its the new Tamiya Wolf WR1 car from 1977-1978. I thought the proper thing to do was to use their decals since the quality is so good. That was the right decision for the small stuff, but I'm kicking myself for not doing the large gold areas with paint. I'll run this body and get a new one and paint it as much as possible in the future. The large decals try to follow the contours, but they just can't do it well.
What is interesting is that the brown metallic you see is Faskolor "Faspearl Black." Not very black at all, but a nice color. I didn't want to have to mess with the detail in the face of the driver, so I fabricated a little face shield for his helmet. Turned out good I think.

I finally got some time to do me a new pit board and body for my DESC210.

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?
Here's my attempt at a scheme like yours. This is the first body that I've ever attempted to airbrush. I bought a Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. I realized after I had started on this scheme, that I was in over my head. Here it is anyways. I'm going to try a much more simple one next!

man, that's a great job! Take that to any TC track in the country and people will stroll by to check it out...
Next time try it with the RCS candies and it will look deeper.

Thanks! The camera covers up a lot of the flaws. Most of the flaws are due to my impatience. I needed to get a body done for the upcoming winter series. I'm just getting back into RC. I bought four bodies. I'll be trying some more painting and take my time a little more.

It's been a while.
Been out of RC for about 20 years. Getting back into it again.

I need to buy a decent camera. A mobile phone camera is just no comparison. But here you go schramster.
