BOMBSHELLS / TLR Team Driver Mikey Bustamante representin'
This photo was submitted by Mikey with his fresh new scheme for the 2012 NITRO scene at THUNDER by the WATER in Havasu City last weekend.
A picture worthy of any proud grandma's night stand.
(It was tastefully cropped to exclude the miles of bikini clad bodies scattering the riverfront shores while on sping break in Havasu.) Well played sir, well played!

New paint for my wife's B4
I started working on a Parma '57 Chevy Bel-Air this week. Its been a lot of liquid mask and I used the protective mask as well to good advantage. He said he wanted a "50's Hot Rod look" so that's what I went for. No neons, but the orange and yellow still pop great with the black.
Next step is gluing the (3) components together. Fortunately, this body will be for show. I'd hate to see it hit the wall in racing.
My favorite part of airbrushing bodies is peeling off the exterior mask like in the picture below. Then, you know if you have the look you were hoping for!

^ how did you get that affect? Looks great!!
I used a toothbrush for the white. I sprayed paint on a piece of scrap lexan, then swiped the brush over it, then brushed the truck. Same technique for the black, but I used a 2" paint brush with a jagged edge. I was pretty stoked about how it turned out for a first run.

nice lookin drips!
Got some better outdoor photos of the 57 Chevy. The headlight/tailight and front insignia decals were AWFUL. So, I will come up with something else or leave them off and leave it as is.
