Very interested. Don't have anything track ready but will come watch and support all my large scales are for high speed runs. What time will this be starting? Any fees for spectators or track time?

currently there is no class for On-Road 1/5 scale at Homestead RC speedway but I am trying to change that. I have sopken to the owners and Frank Killam, one of the best On-Road 1/5 drivers in USA, has already been there and tested the track and told me that we can make it a great venue for 1/5 racing.

The calendar states that the track will be open from 12 (noon) til 10pm.
I will try to be there sharp 12 to meet and setup.

If you are able to come, do so!!! I will bring all my cars.

Sounds good. I'll try to get there around noon as well.
I met Frank back in 09 when i competed against him in the speed challenge in Cali. Really nice guy and knows his stuff.

Does he know his stuff!!!!
I was lucky enough to share a room with him in 2011 in Argentina for the 1/5 On-Road Copa America, and let me tell you I wouldn’t let him sleep asking him questions about setups, tire selections, strategies, etc!!!!
Everyone on the track was amassed with his driving.
I am just hoping we can get something going at Homestead too. I have had my car in storage for a while and I want to use it again. Also, there are numerous drivers from South America that would take any excuse they can to race with us here in FL, specially some of my country man Venezuelans!!!!

Totally agree. He knows his stuff but unfortanetly it was a speed challenge and I had to make him tap out since thats my sort of thing and not so much track. . But hopefully when I come thru saturday, I'll watch you guys and get my self something track worthy. Specially since Im a big large scale fan and there's never been a track near that can accomodate. I'll send you a PM with my number and you can just text me when you get there. Is that cool?

went down to the track on sunday for a quick test and tune half day with a frined of mine and we had a blast (sorry no pics)
The track was a little wet from earlier showers but within minutes the sun came out and it got really hot and dry!!!!
I was finally able to drive my Short wheelbase FG car and it was fun!!!! The car turns in into the corners with less effort and is very stable on the infield.
I can see ourselfs having a nice club race with at least 5 cars on track.
I will try to post something ahead of time for the next time. This time was kind of fast as my frined just got his cars delivered. He has two cars and will be preparing the second one for his son, so we already have 3 local drivers!!!! Where are the rest???????

Is it bigger than Homestead Raceway?
