Default Large size servo for on road 1/5 steering.(what kg you using).

Looking to find out what’s being used for the large scale ON ROAD cars.
I’d assume most would use hitec 24kg 5755.What else is out there which will fit the servo holder.

I do not have a on road I run off road but I have never been impressed with Hitec. I ran them years ago. If I where to replace the servos I have now for steering I would more then likely get a Savox High Voltage 7.4v Large Scale Steering Servo. It will all so run on 6 volts. Do not know where you live but know of a place in the US that sells them for around $85.

I use Hitec Servos in all my 1/5 scale cars. Their the servo of choice out here in SoCal. My F-1 uses them--used them to win the 1/5 scale Nat's. Hitec has come a long way in the last few year. Can't go wrong with them-- and if you need service for them--their the BEST at that as well. The've got new high voltage high torque servos that I use with a 2s lipo setup--get over 600oz of torque. Go for it!!

I use the the HS m7990th for steering--the HS7950th will work great for anything else with nearly 500oz of torque on 2s lipos!! Don't think any other servo will do the job as well for the money!!

I use 1 7990th or 2 7950th in my FG EVO. Either way works great.

I'm using the Low profile Radiopost servo. At 305oz and 0.07S (7.4V)
Or 250oz/ 0.08S at 6V)

It's more then enough. Although if you need more torque they have a high torque version again in Low Profile configuration

That's interesting to read some using standard size servo's with only 6mm spline.I would have thought a impact might strip the gears or bust off the 6mm spline.
