It doesnt matter what oil is in there... the diff leaks on alot of the baja's.

the ss has the alloy one and im sure its better. or you can upgrade to it later on for about $30.

I have the gh alloy gear case and the hpi alloy diff.... nice stufff. ...and a great price.

the 1.0, or Orginal purple RTR buggy, was just that, the 1st.

then HPI made some upgrades and changes to the platform, and released the SSb, which is abuilders kit.

Then they released the 5T and the 2.0. the 2.0 is the new rtr. it stil has a 23cc motor, where the 5T and SS have a 26cc motor, the 2.0 has the aluminum diff case where the rtr had the plastic one, the 2.0 has the 6mm shock shafts with varried hole pistons, where the orig rtr had 4mm shock shafts and the hyper adjust. the 2.0 has a mostly metal geared steering servo and 2.4 2chnl radio, where the orig rtr had an all plastic servo gear steering servo and a 3chnl FM radio system.

and other than general model run changes, ie a arms improvment, shock tower change on rear, exhaust can (stock cans) the rest of them is basically identical.

the original RTR,SS, 2.0, and 5T are all the same, basic rigs, with the 5T having more body mounts, dust gaurds, the T body/wheels tires, and the 19t input on the tranny gears to make up for the taller wheels.
all other parts are the same (well there are some TORX bolts on the 5Ts).
