Almost Chris...

I'll join you guys this weekend so maybe you can help set the
car up. How did your dry run on the car go last Saturday?

I'll see you there on Saturday...The car had loads of steering out of the box. By the end of the day it was very good. Ryan said I look faster with the new car.

That sure sounds very promising about the car, huh?

The 421P sounded and looked like it works best in the stock
head clearance too. Were you able to try it out with a
lower first pinion?

I wonder how it would be with a lower 2nd pinion too.??
Because at Revelation's back straight, it was screaming
but seemed like it was looking for more track.... So I wonder
if we gear down on second too and make scream a bit more
and so to maximize the pull.???

I think we definitely need to drop down on the 1st gear. We'll play with 2nd gear this weekend. I'm also going to try a different motor this weekend.

If that thing is something faster than what you used at the
Airtronics Race, that car is literally going to FLY!

I once saw one of those run at our local track and the thing
looked nice. But the motor was hard to tune and was running
pretty hot. Its got tons to bottom end power but I thought it
lacked some on the top.

I also remember it was leaking fuel either thru the carb inlet
and/or the front bearing. And for a brand new motor, I thought
that was a bummer.

If you dont mind me asking, what made you go with that motor?

I don't mind at all. Right now (being only 16) its pretty hard to come up with a quick $500 so i found the rossi for like 400. I also had a .12 rossi outlaw for my sedan last season and it ran great, fastest and super easy to tune (for me, it never ran over 238F. So i figured i'd give this a try, plus it looks the best with the red crank case What engine do you run?

I see..., and I know what you mean about the costs..

Anyway, I saw it run once only and it was from someone
who was running it for the first time too. So there may be
some tweaking needed at that point (ie Header/Pipe Combo,
Plug, etc.). But no one else really ran them, so that was pretty
much what we saw of it.

Since you have experience with the .12 Rossis, it should be a
plus owning the .21s. They sure are "eye catchers" when in a
car... You cant stop noticing the shiny chrome head.

At the moment, I have a Rex R1 and a 421P.

Let us know how the Marinello performs for you, okay.?
Always nice to have info shared in here.

Have you ever consider R1 WC21 Kangaroo? this motor is under $400 and I have seen it ran, pretty powerful and easy to manage!

Yeah! I have definetely seen it. I love that engine, but its hard to get around here and i wanted to try something that knowbody has. People at my track see me i guess as a copy cat because i would buy what they buy. I proved them wrong w/ the rossi .12 and i will do the same for the maranello
