Spark plug look ok?

Hello, I was trying to tune my Losi 5ive T 2.0 today and was wondering what this plug looks like.
Thanks

How do you upload a picture? I don’t see it coming in the thread

Need 10 posts before you can post an image. Try uploading it to a separate site (like imgur) and giving us the link.

Don't worry about the color of your spark plug. If it's old just replace, they are cheap. You should be able to tell from sound and performance if the motor is tuned or not. I don't think I've ever used the plug to check the health of my tune. I'd check carb, gaskets and/or piston ring if my rig won't hold a tune.

I tried tuning the truck today and there would be a gurgle at wide open throttle, and nothing I do to the high speed would change it, if I lean my low a bit, then punch it, it would speed up, gurgle for a bit, and then continue to rev up. And for some reason it’s different every few passes, on some passes it gurgles, on some it doesn’t.

How old is the motor? Sounds like a possible blown gasket or dirty carb. Try changing the plug first as that's the cheapest easiest start to trouble shooting. What carb are you running and did you start your tuning from the stock setting?

Daksh 12-04-2020 08:53 AM

I’m running a stock zenoah g320, engine has about 20 hours on it, the factory settings are actually too lean for me, the engine does not wanna start with them so I have to richen it more to start

Daksh 12-04-2020 08:57 AM

I’m not sure what carb comes stock on these engines, this is my first one

With 20hrs it could be the gaskets or carb. Are you running a fuel clunk? I re-ring my pistons change gaskets and rebuild my carbs at the start of every season. Racing every Sunday for the season, May-Oct. That's probably 24-48hrs of runtime for the season and I can tell a difference in performance when I re-ring, so yeah 20hrs is a enough time to say it could be gaskets, ring, or carb.

spark plug color means alot... if you can adjust the carb thats also a problem..ive cleaned many plugs with emery cloth.(just get another plug..) do a google search for spark plug color.

Probably the WT1107 carb which stock setting are
