Nova P5XLT for GT

Would a Novarossi P5XLT be suitable for GT? If so would the Nova 41014 header and the Nova 2015 pipe be ok?

So I take it that no one knows.

You can use it, but if your track is a fast track it will probably heat up, because it is designed for torque, not high speed...any way if you have it and want to use it , better use it with Nova 41032 header and the 2015 pipe, and if you can place a 0.10mm shim under the sleeve and remove same amout on the head, it will perform much better overall.

fully agree with that. You can start with a buggy engine, but you won't keep it, either because you will notice the lack of topspeed or because you will fry it trying to stay close to the real GT engines. the shim below the sleeve helps a lot for most engines, and use onroad plugs like the RP7 or RP8 from OS, I don't know the Novarossi equivalent (use NR plugs always in NR engines)

I am using a Nova ison tuned on-road engine now in the car. Was wanting something 5 port though to make it all legal. Guess I will try to sell the ison and get a dedicated GT engine.

Best thing you can do. There are some good GT engines around now, including the WERKS GT engine.

get a tuned pipe with top speed performance, i think should be good enough. but it cant compares with onroad engine, they had a high peak rpm than offroad engine.

I would like to stick w/ Novarossi. I know about the ison GT. Is there another gt engine they offer???

They will come out with a new line of GT engines soon if you wish to wait...prototypes are being tested. I saw them in our resent Pacific Cup in Lima Peru in hands of Paolo Morganti.

It is simple to convert 7 ports into 5, just take out 2 bridges between ports.

Details please.

2 ports next to each other are devided by a "bridge", remove the bridge and they will become one.

With 7 port engines the ports close to the exhaust are very small:

If you take out the bridge that is deviding the port next to it it will be one large port. Do it on both sides and 7 ports are now 5 ports.

Are these the bridges to take out??

Also possible but then you will create a very large port making the sleeve weak.
