Hopefully the port changes will help the fuel economy of the engine. I always found my T1201 very thirsty.

Just received my T1202. I'm hoping that is the case with fuel consumption. Unfortunately, our next race isn't until Nov 6th so I won't have a report until then.

Has it got Ceramic Bearing?

Meilleur 10-13-2016 09:49 PM

Didn't actually see it but the parts diagram has it labeled as ceramic.

JOSE CASAS 10-14-2016 03:30 PM

I know some one that is runing one at the Nats next week. I will have his feedback soon.

dan_vector 10-15-2016 07:58 AM

The engine was very fast at the WC in Gubbio this year but to make 5 minutes in qualification the engines looked to be running very lean but the engine seemed to take it well all week long.

Can you tell us how the fuel consumption was? ;)

Engine has just about a gallon through the motor. I was able to make at least 5 min using 16% nitro with 9% oil. Temps in the 240-250s. Much better than the T1201.

Motor runs strong and has plenty of power. The run time seems good also.

mick8488 02-16-2017 05:54 AM

Any updates on this engine? How's run time, power and reliability?

dan_vector 02-17-2017 11:27 PM

It's proving to be a very quick engine at my local track but the guys are having to run them really really lean to get a full 5 minutes qualifier in.

bigtee01 03-08-2017 11:05 AM

Looking for .12 engine for upcoming season. I need a honest opinion on the OS 1202?

YBSLOW 03-08-2017 11:25 AM

Fastest .12 I have ever seen.

Meilleur 03-08-2017 11:38 AM

I dont have a problem making 5 min easily. I am using 16% though. I had reservations about using 16% but now couldnt be happier.

bigtee01 03-08-2017 02:56 PM

Had anyone ordered from eBay. Japan seller. Much cheaper then 500

ChadB. 06-23-2017 02:01 PM

There are not too many places that I have found in the states that is selling this motor, but I am able to get my hands on the T1201 at a reasonable rate. Is there much different between the motors? I would like to get a new motor as soon as possible.

Stick with the T1202. Has much better fuel economy. Order it from overseas. With shipping, its still considerably cheaper.

Who has them overseas?

Macio4ever 06-24-2017 01:50 AM

I have bought mine on ebay from Hong Kong seller. It was cheaper even including tax duties than buying in Europe.

Byronf1 01-11-2018 10:04 AM

how you doing with this motor, do you buy it again ?

Macio4ever 01-23-2018 02:33 AM

Motor is super fast. I like it very much. I would like my skills to much its power :) I hope that on coming season I will finally cope with setup for my old car and will use full potential of this engine.

Nice to hear....

JOSE CASAS 05-08-2018 04:51 PM

What is the nitro per on the stock head (.25) clearance?

Macio4ever 08-15-2018 01:34 PM

I use stock setup with 16% nitro and 1070SC muffler. Still struggling to achieve 5 minutes of driving @ 120 C (celsius). Run out at 4.40... middle size track, 27 ambient temp, RP6 plug. It is fast like hell but drinks alike...

I add a .10 shim when I run 25%. I made 5 1/2 minutes of run time on a huge track, with temps at 260 degrees!! Was on the hottest weekend of the year here in Texas..

My OS 1202

The engine was a beast at the GLC this pass weekend. But it lived a short life. I thought the engine sucked the glow plug element into the engine but after a closer look at home the evidence shows the piston pin c-clip became dislodged while the engine was running.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...5339f6109b.jpg

The c-clip on the other side was still intact

Pooh2 08-29-2018 07:11 PM

Mines ran great all week. Fastest .12 I've ever driven!!!! I put a lot of laps on it and still perfect!

lil-bump 08-29-2018 07:27 PM

:cry:Mine ran great until the last lap of Q2. Lol.. This was the first race for this engine:cry::cry::cry:

Eric Jones 12-16-2018 10:15 PM

No worries Rick V at Horizon hobbies took care of me.

ToysRUsKid 03-30-2019 07:09 PM

what's a good operating temp for the T1203 - I saw 267 above, i was told that's too high for these engines.

267 should be good. 290 + may shorten the life. Mine ran beautiful at 273 degrees
