Has anyone seen the Tesla .12 motors run? Are they any good?

These are very good. Seen one going last weekend. It's a rebranded Max Power engine which is novarossi based but based on a couple generations back when novarossi's were very good. I believe it's also in a Rex crankcase.

I'm running the .12 Tesla on my C03. All I can say is that this engine has a very good power band.
I reached the same lap time with rich settings on the Tesla as with the full race ready tuned Reds engine. Temp. 90degrees celsius. ;) |
Exactly. The older novarossi based engines that Fantini tunes are awesome!
|
So what do you think of your new Tesla Proe?
|
It's the best motor I spend my money on in a long time. I just had to go and order another one. LoL
|
I have heard the partnumber of the P/S set is the same as the N12T1/Sturm

They are both part #8668 but the Tesla has MF (Max Fantini) behind the part number, and the piston is a different part number. The crank is different too. The Tesla is hand modified after the parts leave the factory so until we time the motor we wont know what is different. The Sturm/N12T1 is already quite highly timed on the sleeve ports, The Sturm's crank is quite conservatively timed, quite possibly the case too. The Tesla's performance has been excellent and it sounds mean too |
