thanks guys!
cant believe i overlooked that too hesky :p

Andy T: will taking out both my side windows cause any drag or slow me down the straights etc ? i remember someone telling me not to cut out my side windows as he said the less holes you have the faster your car would be.

Mie 3 : i think Mspeed dont make 11 fin heads for kyosho engines. ill have to look into getting a aftermarket head but i feel that the stock head provides enough cooling as its 9 fins.

weekend is coming so testing my car tommorrow will do the lowering body and head shim and see how i go. :) i will also cut out both my side windows if it doesnt slow me down :p

cheers guys :tire: :D

It may cause a little more drag/air turbulence but I think the cooling benefits offered by doing this outweigh the tiny bit of drag it creates.
Have you removed the rear window behind the cooling head? This will significantly increase cooling too if you havent done it already.....you really want a good flow of cool air passing thru the cooling head.
Cheers

Hi guys

car was running perfectly today at 240-250 F so im pretty pleased!

the problem was that the 2 speed shaft was held tight with not much play in it. causing the whole spur gear system to have too much resistance to turn. which in the probably caused the 2 speed to kick in late making me having to lean the engine off for it to kick in... if that makes any sense!

still find it a touch on the rich side with the exhaust note but i believe thats how stock (pull start) kit motors are run.

thanks for everything guys :)
