Will get the engines on Wednesday, only 30 made:) They used a few in the Euros and they sold 20 engines to the fastest to reply distributor:). Will post pictures of the engine. It is a beefed up Sirio engine - according to RB they will change the crank case to make it fit to all cars:)

Great to hear this.... You have PM.

rbboy 08-27-2006 08:19 PM

Matrix will be a production engine, RB will still be making the V12 line of engines.

Can't finish a 20 minute mains

Need some advice here on my RB V12. My engine seem to not last a 20 min main, actually it would only run consistently for 5 to 6 mins and it would just flame out. Temp wise it's only running at 115C. Tried replacing the plug and it look like it solve the problem but problem comes back again. All the help will be much appreciated  My goal is to at least finish a main

Thanks!
Roy

do you go in the pits at the 5-6 min mark,if not your running out of gas, a tank usually lasts 5-6 min in a .12.

OR

sometimes people set the low end needle too lean and have this problem

I've actual reset the thing to factory settings (also as suggested by extremehobbies 5 turns on the high side) Maybe adjusted the idle a little so it doesn't flame out.

Fuel wise, if you measure from the bottom of the tank I'd say I still have around 1/4" of fuel.

Thanks.

Do you, or maybe a race buddy, happen to have a spare fuel tank? Fuel lines are cheap so maybe replace that as well. It sounds like your tank is loosing pressure when the fuel is low. Just my opinion.

Anyone know if a tear in the rubber boot on the throttle body would allow air to leak in around the body itself? Could this be a cause for erratic engine behavior?
