Default Motor Choice confusion Reigns....

Hi All

Well confusion reigns again I spent hours last night reading up on motors and can't decide which one to go for.... even after all the advice yesterday and the information provided by the manufacturers. I have thinned the list down to 5 and listed them in order of preference.. with top being the one I am leaning towards ... is this a solid choice or am I missing something or making a mistake?

1.) JP FX12 T-03 (Turbo EFRA) with ceramic bearing and hardblack crank coating £274 (Is this avai in the US?)
2.) RBC1700-000445 RB Concept V12 3 Port "Rody tuned" $399
3.) RTSXS12TRPPRO Mauro Collari Modified .12 AAC 3-port Turbo Engine $349
4.) MUGJPX12-S3 Mugen JP Modified X12 $399
5.) WRXLC12PRO3 Lamberto Collari 3 Port .12 AAC $294

Thanks again ......

I am in the same boat as you, You can never go wrong with a Nova based engine but price is just to high, I would recommend sticking to a normal novarossi engine a the difference is very minimal. I actually decided to go for the OS TR12PT engines as I have heard good things about it and are well underated and price is very good

As far as i know, yes it is based on a Picco block blank but is alot different to a picco.

Just ran mine at a big meet here and it ran with the best of modded motors we have here, pretty sure there was a JP in there somewhere

I have heard that the NovaMax's are very fast. I would like to try one of those... if I could just find $400 dollars lying around my house somewhere... In the mean time I just picked up a Mega ZX 12 and will give that a try. For $255, engine and pipe, how can you go wrong?

acutts, cant wait to hear how the JP performs.
I am also trying to decide between the JP or an RB engine.

I disagree, I saw one yesterday and it was very fast with 16% nitro fuel and it was still running abit rich.

Motor arrived and if looks are anything to go by ... this should put my 710 into orbit...

The finish on the motor is just incred .... the hardbalck crankcase and shaft look ready for business ... just need to drop it in my car and let it loose ...
