Default Help on Sirio .12 S12-T3 EVO4 Limited Edition

Hi all i`m new to rc cars and racing my new Serpent 720 is on it`s way and i`m getting a nice deal on this engine NIB and need some help.

Is this a good racing engine and good match for the Serpent 720 i searched on this forum for info and reviews on this engine but couldn`t find much.

I know this is an old engine will i be able to get parts for the engine?.

And last what would be e perfect pipe and header for this engine?.

Thanks all and i hope to get some feedback.

Greg.

That's a great engine and still up to par with almost anything out there.

They run best with Sirio exhaust systems.

About the car, no comment

Thanks Stefan,it`s nice to hear that it`s a capable engine still although not being a new engine.

You are still running the 720 then?,nice avatar btw.

hi,

last year i was running the 720 with the sirio xxxv. I had problems mounting
the engine with the monoblock engine mount, i had to switch to the old two
engine mounts (#801551) because the engine block is bigger and couldnt fit inside the monoblock. Also, i had problems with the exhaust (2653). This pipe was way too long and i had to shave the front end so as the pipe wont touch
the steering ball joint. These problems also exist with the 733 however serpent offers another mount for 733 and sirio engines. If i am not mistaken sirio fixed this with the newer 2653 pipes. They have the grub screw on the side of the pipe and the front end is smaller which will help alot the pipe not to touch the steering ball joint. So if i were you i would try to get the new ones.

good luck,
