Should i replace my Engine
#1
hi guys. i am having a problem deciding on should i replace my engine or not. its an Murnan RB. i has over a season of racing on it. there is play in the crank which leads me to having to change the bearings. the connecting rod also needs to be changed soon and im not to sure what condition the piston and liner are in, but after a season of racing it might need to be changed also. so my question is should i go about replacing the parts or am i better of with a new engine? Thanks in Advance PS engine has over 4 gallons on it

This is my personal opinion on engine replacment
I do my rod every 5 litres especial in a on road engine
I do my bearings once a season
In the past i have had my onroad motors last over 35 litres of fuel
once you start geting movement on parts it will wear out the next part more
its a modified motor i would get a nother motor and rebuild this one i always have had a few motors lying around that i alternate between races meets events
i would measure the crank first up make sure its with in tolerance
