Will it not damage the chrome and will need to polish the pipe to get the shine like new

They are not chrome, it's just polished aluminum. It doesn't hurt the finish.

However, the first time I tried this method, I used 50/50 premix. The pipe actually turned black. But I really like it, it looks like black chrome :D

Not all pipes work best with every engine out there.

What engine and track type is this pipe most suited for?

BTW, there was no mention whether this is a .12 or .21 pipe.

It's the 2660 from Novarossi but then coated with the KEL850 treatment.
So basically it should work pretty good with all Nova based engines.
Maybe with others as well but this should be tested.

gave it a try but somehow it ended up turning kind of yellowish, anyway i only use
DAWN power dissolver, the best product next to the now gone CHEVERON PERFECT ENGINE CLEANER, give it a try, 30 minutes is all it takes and leaves your pipe and engine brand new!!!
