RB 2011 Engine Line-up

RB has already released the engine lineup for 2011 ahead of the Nuremberg Toy Fair... (www.redrc.net)

What it did seem curious to me, is that they have released a new .12 version, the RS... They say that the new RS comes with a 11.9mm crankshaft. It seemed odd to me, because I thought that Novarossi had reserve the rights to themselves to keep the 11.9mm version to Novarossi alone. I hadn't seen any other Novarossi based engine using the 11.9mm before RB.

JP, JP Gimar, MAX, RB, Capricorn, all of them were using the 11.5mm crankshafts in their engines...

Money talks......

It is a shame that on yearly base new models have to be showed wile most engines are just equal to older models or do change during the year (timings/materials) without notice.

They seem to always leave some room for improvement...

For example, RB might have come up with a 11.9mm, but they still have the insulated carb and balanced crankshaft up their sleeve.

Although I heard that the new version of the MM M3 comes with the insulated carb...

Hello from France,
RB just release its new range of engines, including the RB T11 RS.
This winter RB decided to improve her range. The main modification it's the crankshaft (switch to 11.9mm).
This change is not for money, or follow Novarossi ...
Tests have been made this Winter to improve the T10rc, and this configuration was chosen.
T11rs is the new best touring engine from RB, with main improvements, more power at low RPM, and more fiability and easy adjustement.
Pilots will be delighted with the new t11rs !
More to come at the Nuremberg toy fair ... :)

Thats funny - I know for a fact there is also another engine that ISN'T listed there!
It looks exactly like the T10/T11 but instead of having the same logo on the head, there is a picture/map of Australia covering the center and it says M. Russel Tuned. I have seen it in person, but can't find a single bit of information on it.

Matt Russell is an Australian/Sydney engine tuner... thats probably why they are not advertised with the RB 2011 lineup

He managed to get an engine in the final at the TC worlds (Phil Woodbury)

TG Modified / M. Russell Tuned

Jeez, some people can just find this info so easily!
Im very sure those are the very same ones, and Phil Woodbury sounds very familiar.
I pitted directly behind him at the Vics admiring that engine of his!! :D
Too bad I never sat to actually watch it and see how it goes :(

Thanks for the heads up Giovanni...

I have seen the 11.5mm version run and its really impressive...

Are you going to have a insulated carb and chamber o-ring ??

GIMAR 02-01-2011 07:37 AM

we already have and chamber o-ring,
for the carburator....not have, because we use
another carburator that is modified by JP and it is
3mm lower-

also because we have testing a lot and with isolator
for our test is not really better.
also more novarossi team driver NOT use it-

but if client want,i have 50 in stock and is easy to put inside

thanks

Murnans rb m3 is the best .12 on the market. It has tons of bottomend and midrange and stupid topend but the part that seperates it from other engines is it still makes runtime easy!!!!
