Hi guys, my mate is running the 7 port truggy off road and he wants to know what is the best pipe for this engine. Will the BP 2012 do the trick, he has options on 2015, 2052, 9886, 2032, 2031. Sorry for posting off road ?'s on circuit forum. But trying my luck.
Will be running the 735 very soon, think I will shift from Nova. Also I must say the support on the forum for racers is also great. |

Well, ran new BP track engine at the KOPROPO grend prix last weekend and i tell you, they run really well. Both engines ran very consistent and had plenty of power running on 25% powermaster fuel. I qualified third with one of only three 19 lap runs(19 5:15) to Swaggers 19 5:12 and Morgonti 19 5:13.Not bad for a stock engine with little time to try different pipes and such. Unfortunaterly suffered stripped gears in warmup to end main event before I got started. Anyhow, these are very fast tuned engines you all should look into. Just my two cents

Good job.

Hi,
Just got my engine yesterday and cant wait to run it in. Quick question... where I am, ambient temperature is pretty much 32 degrees celcius all year round with high humidity. What plug do you recommend? I am going to put a nova C7TGF in it. Anyone has any other recommendation? Sam |
The nova plug is fine although a 6 is better for break in. You can also try a BP 7 in the future. Email me and let me know how it goes. What fuel do you use?

Serpent 966
Hi there,
Anyone running the BP engines on a 966? I just installed my motor... the bottom of the carb (rubber sleeve) is getting stuck on the radio plate, hindering movement I loosened the carb and pulled it up a tad... but by doing this, I will be suceptible to air leaks? any thoughts or suggestions on what I should be doing? thanks in advance sam |

You definitely don't want to raise the carb as you did as you will likely incur an air leak. Based on the last post, it seems like the problem is not engine specific, so you might need a little fine adjusting of the angle of the carb and angle of the linkage, and maybe even a little grinding on the radio tray to make sure everything clears.

After reading so many good things about the BP engine, I'm so excited that I have just placed an order for the 935RT from Amain Hobby.
Currently I'm using the OS21XZR and Nova 35plus21WC09 for my 966 and Motonica P81RS.. For whatever reason, I'm really enjoyed running my OS compared to the nova.. Hopefully the BP will not disappoint me... Hahaha. |
