Default Glow plugs questions

After 2 times of bashing, i found that my new glow plug, the coil in the plug turn white (ash white)! and it happen to 2 of my plug. Anyone know why? Thanks!

To lean, to high compression or to much nitro.

hmm... what u mean by too much nitro? u mean the nitro %? im using 25%. It is a sts .12 engine. however, if i dun lean it, there is no power coming out from the engine! Do u know why? Thanks

There is your problem, a .12 is normally set for the use of 16%, you do need to add a shim of 0.1mm under the buttonhead to correct the combustion timing with 25% nitro..

Yoz... once again Thanks for ur reply. yape i know that .12 is normally set for 16%. however, the sts engine stated that it is shimed for 30%.. so i use 25% to give some allowance. So should i add shim or change fuel? lolx

If your running 25% nitro you need to use a colder plug as well. If your using a non-turbo head use a R5, if your using a turbo head use a P8.
