STS D3 or D5. very smooth response and lots of bottom and mid. and the price is right too.

What do you mean by small track. What is total lenght?? How long is main straight??. Does it have a lot of 180° turns??
It depends, because you can have a small track but very fluid, with smooth turns. But if you mean small, for a track that requires a lot of braking and hence torque, why don't you get a Novarossi RR12L3 (long stroke), it is one of the latest engines designed for small tight tracks.

i have both D3 and D5. just ran in the D3 and i can tell you this engine has tons of bottom end and it is very good for small track. the question is, are you able to handle the bottom end power of D3?

I have run an OS TR for around 1 year on a small track before I blew it to pieces. Good motor and ok price.

HOWEVER I now am running the Dragon D3 from STS and this motor kills the OS in all departments. Power, price and it is as easy to tune than an OS TR.

You cannot go wrong with the D3.

amg, the d3 my very well be more powerful (more torque questionable) BUT
which motor do you think you will get more fuel through before a rebuild, I would put my money on the os

Can't answer that one. My OS rod let go at around 12-14 litres and pretty much destroyed the whole motor. Probably was expecting too much out of the poor old girl.

Keep your money in your wallet. Money should be wasted on fuel and tyres. You can adjust your gearing or clutch to make it more easy to handle. Adjusting your TX make it only 80% max opening. Try to drive your car on the line what you want.
