Lets bet small amount ? I said the manual book is not up to date, perhaps it was published earlier than ns15s5 and ns12. How much do you want to bet ?

Btw, while my engine is under your supervision, why don't you check together the possibility of using ns12s5 piston, sleeve and conrod ? If not possible, then please order the complete set for ns15s5.

...... I've done crazy mod today I really enlarge the intake port very big !!!

asw7576, after repeating so many times that they are not the same, you're still doubting?

Don't be lazy. Just download the PDF file for the part's list of the complete NSR12 and NS15 engine. See for yourself which part numbers are the same and which ones are different, to which I've already mentioned it above !

..... don't get me wrong, man. I have search everything from www.novarossi.it and www.teamtrinity.com. Even yahoo search. The info file for ns15s5 parts listing are none. That why I asked everyone expertise and experience.

If everything else is failed, then I have no other option except to re-order the ns15s5 complete set piston, sleeve and conrod.

Have you search enough? Can't be that difficult eh?

http://www.novarossi.it/eng/ns15s5.htm

Click or download the exploded view for the NS15S5 engine in PDF file format.

Click or download the exploded view for the NSR12S5 engine in PDF file format.

All the part numbers are there. Compare the part numbers ! See which ones are the same and which ones are different.

Please re-read my replies to TRAJ above...

You would still need to get the NS15S5 piston sleeve set because they are completely different from the NSR12S5 engine. The conrod for both engines are the same though...

Ok, I got the full information, the difference is major ...... I must re-order specific parts for specific model. Aargh.... bye-bye my crazy dream of having .15 engine with .12 internals.

This hobby is expensive.

Which internal diameter are you referring to? Internal diameter of the crankcase where the piston sleeve sits in or the internal diameter where the crankshaft / bearings slot in?

Hopefully gonna pick up an NS12S3 from the LHS for my R40 and for my 8th scale I've been thinking about the BS21SB, or just get the 421B. Anyone have experience with either? RB is great, but under race conditions it's been Nova outlasts it.

I tested my ns15s5 mod today, the result is . Engine sound is very loud and long, the top speed...... i don't know because the car already arrive at next sweeper. Some JP racers asked what kind of engine because they notice my car's engine did not peak at straight, but I didn't tell the mod yet

RS4LOLA: I am also running the RR12L3....It has something to be said about it. I pulled it apart after 2+ gallons and replaced the Rod, I had stretched it and cracked the barilium bushing and it was running "SICK". I blew the 2 speed hub "actualy snapped the ring" from the back side of the gear. I have pictures to prove it and the parts too. This motor is crazy, tunes easy and out-runs most other motors. (I just need some more track time and learn to drive better) Even at the long back strait of Kissimmee, it pulls away (or catches) just about everything. ONE THING, CHANGE THE CONNECTING ROD!!!! It is now stronger than it was before,

Hey guys. I have an option to get a Novarossi 3POrt 28 engine for 150 dollars. I have the LST with the Mach 26 and wa swondering if anyone could HELP ME HERE!!!!Now I hear all over the Mach 26 is like the all round best liked engine? Now I wanted to know if the Novarossi 28 would be faster or stronger then the Mach 26. You know a NOTICABLE diffrence that i will see with it in there? I meanis it worth spedngin the monmey to egt the engine even at that great price? If it is not really gonna impress me as being alot or even noticabley better then the MAch I would rather stick with the Mach? Though a new Mach is almost the same price? So i should just get the Nova? I mena its got be alittle better and or at least equal? Let me know what you guys think? Also i was wondering what the TOUGHEST engine for big blocks is out reight now? Fastest toughest strongest? Below:

Sirio 27 Race or Pro with pullstart
RB 28
Nova, Rex, Top 28's 8 port or 3 but has to have pullstart
CEN 46
Collari 30

rcfoolz:
Thanx for the info. Yes the rr12l3 is grreat.!!! I have less than a gallon thru it and have not raced it yet. Waiting for spring time as I think this should be a parking lot terror. Maybe you could answer my earlier question of whether I am running the low speed too lean. I am running 30% nitro with no restrictor with an RD Logics tuned pipe (legal) with a extened OFNA muffler coypler for added torque. I have barely touched the high speed needle and only adjusted the low speed needle so I could get the engine to idle during breakin. As the engine go stronger during breakin, all I did was turn the idle down so the clutch was not engaged. The car can idle thru one tank easy IF you want to wait near 15 minutes!!! Once this engine is heated up, no flame outs and VERY easy to tune. Was VERY hard to break in though as I had to use a heat gun for at least 7 tanks!!!. After the 10 tank I can finally start it without the heat gun. Now I have not run this engine since november. Du you still think I should change the rod BEFORE i start racing this spring??
