also try to replace your fuel lines with new tubing, clean out your air filter, clean youir tank out, and new plug try number 6
and check your compression.
is that is a good starting point from memory at 5 turns the high speed is abit rich but bottom speed is a little rich but not so much to bog you down to flame out.

this sounds like the bottom end is extremely rich but at 2.5 turns out that should be very close.
actually whats it doing during take off? bogging down or just leaping foward like a rocket?
also what plug you running?

I have actually leaned to 2 1/4 turns LSN. A little reluctant to lean it further.
Its blubbering before it takes off. Once the car is running then its not a problem but cant idle for more than 5 secs. It will flame out when I press the throttle again. Running plug no.6 tf.

i had the same problems as you with my RS12S5 now that i think about it. i kept leaning my bottom end etc.. then tried to lean top end etc... i could never get the perfect running setting. and in 1 month of every weekend tunning it i eventually snapped the con-rod....
have you tried giving it to the guys at the track to have a look at it? the guys at my track said it was a shimming problem with mine.

Need some help, I bought a RR12 L5 for my V one S II.
I have the original Kyosho 2 speed.
The problem is the RR12 has different thread then the original GS15 engine.
Any one know what I need to get in order to mount the engine and fit the kyosho 2 speed to it?
Thanks

HI,
Sorry if this has been asked. I need to replace the bearings in two of my motors. NSR and NS. I measured the crank and both would appear to use the same front bearing. However the rear bearing I assume would be different because the NSR is 0.5mm larger (11.5mm) where the NS is (11mm). I'm not sure if all the NS and NSR range came with these spec cranks.
I have looked on the Novarrossi site at the expanded views and noticed that the part numbers for the bearing are the same. This doesn't seem right to me and I was hoping that someone could tell me if these are the right part numbers.
Front 17006
Rear 16602
Thank You

I have a couple of motors and thought one was a NS, it turns out to be an RS I lost the box it came in.
Can I swap P/S/R between the RS and NS.
#627
yes you can.....
the sleeve of NS and NSR series uses to have the exhaust port a little bit higher than the RS series....but always work, when there is a difference between the original sleeve and the NS/NSR sleeve, the engine will run even better, because the higher exhaust port yields more top end.......this difference is very little (usually 0.1mm), in most cases there is no difference....
the conrod is the same for RS ans NS/NSR series......only MT12 and RR12 engines have different rods....

the engine has a SG crank made for Pro tourers
the V one SII needs a threaded crank
so the RR12 is a no go in the V one SII!
