On track you will find mostly:
Runnertime, Tornado, Roga, R&B, and some drivers mix there own blend....
Off track (parking lot bashing), modeltechnics fuel is also quiet popular (cheap), and it is also returning to the track, because they changed the contents which makes your engine tunable...

M7h have you ever tried teflon in your fuel ?
I am experimenting whit this, someone i know works in the aircraft industrie
and is blending fuel for me .
He uses teflon 2 mu thicknes and some other high qwality turbine oils
it runs like all other fuels no noticable difrence exept some carburator tuning.
the inside of the engine is now extreemly smooth.

I never experiment with fuel.....
I just buy it, and use it.
I did hear about people adding Serpent premium lube (20ml) to a 5 liter can of Tornado, just to give your engine a bit more lube, and "afterrun"....
Last time I spoke to a guy at the track, who is sponsored by Putoline oil, they are developing lubricant especially for our type of engines.... lets wait and see.....

Good Day,
I am having an issue that i need some assitance with, whoever can assist me, kudos to them. Ive posted here about my old rossi engine the MT12. The engine has never been rebult and has had at least 3 full galons of the same fuel put through it from 99 to 2007. after the car gets going for about 6 to 7 mins the engine works well, but after it begins to bog at full throttle, only sometimes tho. The engine runs hot 210 220 deg, which is how hot the engine has always ran. compression is still there with the engine but personally i figure the engine may be on its way out. What could result in the engine boging at full throttle on occasion? and what steps should i do to try and fix it? at this point the car has been taken apart totally, and is being rebult since i just finished my weekend of racing. Whatever you guys reccomend i will take to the bank and make the neccessary changes.
Thanks again
Cole.

guys, is it true that all nova based engines are unable to fire up when your engine is hot? i.e. u run it until fuel finished, which of course died off, then u refill and start it up, it just can't be started right away rite? coz i m having this problem and was wondering if its just me or because of the metal carb of nova. coz for OS engine and wasp, its fine due to the plastic carb. thanks.

sounds like fuel lock. that can happen with any engine. take the hose off the tuned pipe and blow through it untill you see the fuel entering the carb via the fuel hose then re-connect the hose you were blowing into back on to the pipe...... it should now fire up.

take the backplate off and check if there is any play on the crankshaft pin where the rod connects to the crankshaft. just rock the crank back and forth and if there is any play between them then change the rod.
