I am looking for part # 07601 conrod. Can't find it anywhere. Is there a substitute conrod for this one, or maybe a linky?? the engine is an RS12S1X. That conrod supposedly fits multiple engines.

The con rod for the NSR12S5 or TSR12S5 is a standard con rod. Any Novarossi/RB/Top/Rex, short stroke rod should work.

My 12 CT came the same way. I found that interesting also. I shimmed it out with two .5 shims.

Hi everyone,
I have the 6port R21BF. Did Rossi quit making the piston and sleeve for this motor all together? I have done lots of searching and can't find any website that has them listed. I had two run aways in one day that ended my motor. i really loved the way it felt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

Does anyone know where I could get rebuild parts for a SX12 M, Michael Slavin)? The carb is stamped Nova M. I bought it new in 2003 and ran only 2-3 gallons thru it. I had someone look at it and tell me it needs a new piston and sleeve and con rod.

You will face serious problems to find spare parts for them, just because 'Snake pit' was very funny changing the indexing nipple on the sleeve (Nova based mills have that index on the exhaust side - but they were smarter and put it on the carb side) so you cannot retrofit a RS/NS/NSR class P/S.

If you cannot find an original Mega P/S, your engine is paperweight, sorry to give it bad news about this.

Alfonso,

are you sure about that? I have two older NovaMega engines, and both have the pin at the exhaust side like any other NovaRossi engine.

I'm pretty sure that I rebuilt them with NR P/S sets in the past.

STS have the pin on the carb site though.

I'm sure about this, faced this problem with the engine of a friend. Some versions came with the indexing point of the sleeve at the normal place but... others came with the indexing point changed (the first versions AFAIK).

Jveteven can give more info if he raises the cooling head and the button and tell us where is the indexing nipple on the sleeve (Exhaust side or Carb side).

Take out this nipple then....
place your liner up side down on this nipple, and then you might be able to pull the nipple out.... I managed to do this twice on an engine......
