The black first line engines are very similar to my eagle on my local track, maybe on a huge track the differences would be more obvious

6:30 wow , I need you to tune my motors . But seriously , Yea, I think they were running the 2630 pipe, a real fuel eater.

And I do agree, the First line Engines are very good motors. I have yet to take it to our Large track to compare.

The JP 12P3L First line Black engine are actually the FX T03 MT without a ceramic bearing, but performance wise, it is the same, they are as fast.

Yes, they even have the FX stamped on the side of the block.

That says nothing about the inside. These engines are based on the Novarossi Basic engines and I can say that there is no "microcasted" piston used....

Yes, it uses a CNC machined bar aluminum piston, which in my opinion is better.

I was simply agreeing it uses a FX block .

Are you Sure it's Not Microcast ?

Roelof 09-23-2008 03:16 PM

Yes, it is not microcast and the piston is also made from a weaker material. With one modified 3.5cc basic engine I already had an exploded piston as also a clubmember had one.
I can not tell how the 2.1cc are but I presume they use the same materials but the weight is less so the forces by movement are also lower compared with th 3.5cc engines.

MHarrison 09-24-2008 09:19 AM

Well I know its not a normal CNC piston, It breaks in just like a Microcast piston, Starts out with decent pinch and by the time you get 10-12 tanks heat and cooled threw it , It's just compression with a very small amount of pinch. Just like a Microcast does. as far as exploding pistons , wow,:rolleyes:Hope to never see it happen.

So has anybody ran this engine with the ninja pipe? I currently own a ninja and was think to get this engine on next so would like to know if is ok with ninja pipe what other matching pipe for this little beast.:)

Team Kamikaze 10-16-2008 07:16 AM

The best pipe for this engine is the JP 2620, the Max 2602 also works good.

By Far the Best pipe for this motor is the Max 2602. I ran it at the Sedan Nats Last week. So many People were telling me the raw power it showed on the back straight. And I felt it had great bottom & mid range as well.

You will be surprised how it wakes up the engine, by far the best pipe for the JP P3L.
