Uh, the Ninja is newest, latest, greatest and the X-12 is old. They stopped making the X a long time ago. Get the Ninja.

I've seen quite a few ninja engines with the ninja pipe and they scream. I've also seen then with a Vantage ppe and they move too. I tried a skyline pipe on mine and it was fast. Very fast.

The only place that I found online that carries a part is www.brooklynhobbies.com. The only thing is its only the conrod for $44.99. Where did you buy the engine & do they carry parts?

Have you consider the JL red dot a very good and fast engine. You will not be dissapionted with it.

2 months ago I was doing the exact same thing, I needed a new engine and I was looking at the NINJA and the CRF, they are both excellent engines, but I had to choose and I went with the ninja. Parts are'nt really an issue for me, I can either order online from HK or go down to the LHS.

I still would'nt mind getting the new Kyosho CRF, just as a backup, you know

I've never heard of them either. Where's the engine made, how easy is it to tune and how long will it last ?
