Ah the 9886 , what a nice pipe that was ..

Rocket42 01-17-2007 12:57 PM

hey thanks for posting that paradox. the 7 port has been sent in for dyno work now.

Paradoxmaker 01-17-2007 07:45 PM

I'm just happy with my choice. After talking with Russ a lot on the Ofna forums, i took the plunge and bought one of his Go's. I was on of the 1st 5 engines he sold and i couldn't be happier with the decision since the Go was the very 1st engine that I have ever bought (every nitro that I have ever owned before was a RTR).

I can't wait till this spring, I'm going to try real hard to get in more than just 4 races this season. Even with all my effort working on my buggy last year I only managed 4 races. I would like to try for once a month at least.

I just picked up a 7 port version of this motor.
I'm wondering if there is any difference between the internals of the 7 vs. 5 port crankcase?
I want to replace the conrod after break in. A-main hobbies sells the conrod for the 5-port.
Are these interchangeable with the 7-port? Also, if I wanted the 5 port instead, could I just swith p/s sets?
thanks.

MassiveMods 01-22-2007 04:43 PM

The difference between the two is the sleeve and crank and back plate , the rods are the same . If you change the sleeve and piston you would want to match the crank with it. There is a slight timing differnce between the two cranks ..

Rocket42 01-22-2007 10:58 PM

the exhaust opening in the 7port crankcase is also different than the 5port. The 7port is opened up a little more to allow for the tri exhaust port. if you were to put the 7port sleeve in the 5port crankcase it would block the exhaust ports.

Word around the campfire is that there may be an onroad version of the Go Tech .21 coming soon . Does anybody know anymore ?

MassiveMods 03-08-2007 09:32 PM

I dare say you will be one of the first with one bro !

azcau 03-09-2007 02:13 PM

You're a clever little vegemite aren't you . Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it . What sort of time frame are we looking at ?

MassiveMods 03-11-2007 09:26 PM

sorry didn't know there was already a thread created..doh...actually i didn't/couldn't find it

here are my pics

as a keen new owner of this "new" brand, i'll post some pictures of my motor.

here they are;

i haven't used it yet, but i have heard good things. ask away, and lets get GO-ing  :p
this engine in Australia is available through www.massivemods.com he is also the distributor as well ;)

my only qualm with the engine is the branding, lol, the logo looks sort of cheesy  but it's the ontrack performance that counts :sneaky: i heard this motor is very reliable, and quick! i have a OS V spec to compare it against so we will soon see. ;) ...i'm sure i won't be disapointed.

Paradoxmaker 03-20-2007 06:45 AM

I'm Jealous, I didn't get any stickers with mine :flaming:

But then I did get mine for substantially less than retail.

TomB 03-20-2007 07:13 PM

i just realised mine was a standard plug version. i think the turbo button plug is an optional extra. so just keep this in mind when you buy the engine. ;)

MassiveMods 03-20-2007 08:27 PM

Look at that build quality ! And these motors run efficiently ! We got close to 12 mins to a tank on our fuel in the NSW Off road titles last year !

We have sold almost 40 engines in the last 2 weeks ! Its going insane !

Hey TomB you take nice pics , i like the lighting man ..

Cheers MM

sorry about the pics man, i couldn't get a clean shot of the sleeve. i took it at night under a lamp, and had to play around with the white balance to get a clean white colour.
