hmm

when the biggest proponent of the Ninja drops them like a hot potato..... it's gotta make you wonder.
Just what I've been saying all along.... They were garbage from day one, and never improved at all- except for maybe a pretty coating on the block and mag. head with a few extra initials on it. some people must be eating crow about now..... |
the .21 was shithouse, and the .12? well...who knows. There will be a few drivers in Australia sponsored by Mugen who will be secretly happy Mugen ditched the slow .21's and the average .12's
Looks like the big boys in RC are still Novarossi, Sirio, and the new, but old player, Picco. |
From what I have seen, its just the .21 onroads that are no good. The rest seem ok.

If you like to pay $500 plus for a stock engine then that is on you. Its hard to support a company that sells there product for way too much money!

the bus has crashed...... Not pointing the finger on anyone, just thinking out loud. Maybe a material to discuss in the main page of the forum..... Interesting |

Yeah rigth........reality is that even if was and still is an engine not capable to keep up with the others, all of you support and encourage people to jump into this. I understand company reps or Factory drivers, but all the others? Are you guys paid to write BS on the net? Are we really able to get honest opinions and suggestions here or is just about try to score browny points to be able to hope is some kind of help, deal or special favor in return?
Not pointing the finger on anyone, just thinking out loud. Maybe a material to discuss in the main page of the forum..... Interesting 1.)I NEVER listen to what factory or team drivers say about the products the represent, at least not when it is an official statement, like you'll get on a forum like this. (you'd be amazed how different these statements can be while you're having a beer and nobody is listening in ;) )I only trust opinions of people who payed for a product and know what they are doing. 2.) I don't jump on the bandwagon like so many others with every new product that is released. I rather watch others at the races and see if the hype that is usually made around every new product is somewhat justified. Kept me from buying the CRF and Ninja engines and also kept me from ditching my trusted Mugen and get an XRay... 8 out of 10 guys, who switched to the XRay are not going any faster as they did with there previous cars. Works for me to stay within my budget and always get the best material I can afford  |

i've owned the 21 buggy and seen the 12 on road, they are ok for a club engine, but for a pro who makes a living and most important, is sponsored!
the price is no obstacle for getting the fastest sickest engine available. swauger's new engine sponsor will provide that, the worlds at cordoba proved that, and perhaps, now there's a reason why not going at the roar nats 1/10 where mugen finished 2 -3 on 2006! anyway good luck mike, you'll be crowned at forth myers for sure! |
Huh. I'm still running a non A-spec at club level that has nothing replaced except for glow plugs and the crank broke ( right at the end of the threads). I'm on the ninth gallon now and it pops over nice and loud with the plug in and you can still feel a slight resistance with the plug out. It has been a GREAT engine a work horse. I think things have gone awry with the break in. The interference fit between the piston and sleeve is the tightest I have ever experienced. Given the number of tanks that have to go thru the engine to get the damn thing lose enough to put in the car and get on with the program is insane. No I'm not on Mikes level and YEAH he's above a $400.00 dollar engine. However on the other end it appears to be like a Timex. This is my own experience and if you think I'm full of crap thats fine, Welcome to America. Everybody's got an opinion. :)
