Mugen drivers tested the beast in Japan. They came out top 3.

Try there. Its the cheapest place I have seen. I remember you asked on the Mega Picco thread for the best place online for the buggy engine. I believe brooklynhobbies has the best price for this engine also.

I heard the same from a Mugen dealer. Rumor in the street is that there are some problems with the reliability (conrods, shafts, etc), but hey what do you expect.......... it's a brend new engine. Will take time to have the whole package!! Anyway, something is going on cause the release has being pushed back quite a few times ( at least in USA)

On the other side King Swager and Ishitani are doing well in Vegas with the Ninjas, but everybody knows that we, the regular guys, will never have the same engines they have.

Let's just hope that when the engines come out they are ok

daniz24 04-23-2006 08:47 AM

Well, maybe at the end that money's still can't lie ;)

Anyone have tried the .12?

Sorry, but Swauger and Ishitani are running box stock motors in Vegas. Nothing has been done to their motors. Im sure in time, thier ninja motors will be modified in the future. Kenji Osaka has been running his B01 motors stock and have been winning in 1/8th scale off-road.

Roger, Mike can win a race with a shoe box with wheels  , but let's not be naive.
Everybody knows that all Team drivers, no matter what engine brand they drive, have and use Team engines that we can't get in a hobby shop (fitting, materials, mods, etc. etc)

By the way, Swauger just won the Vegas GP with the Ninja.

Scott Fisher 04-23-2006 07:39 PM

Mike and Darin ran stock ninja engines at the LV Grand Prix.

I just talked with Harry Hananouchi 5 minutes ago and he gave me the good news. Thanks Miker :) .

I have just tested the BO1 engine, the buggy version, but can't say that I am impressed, nice low end power, and quite smooth but not enough top end power and rpm..With the stock set up as far as reducer is conxerned(7,0mm reducer)and short manifold.....

Did you get to test it with the Ninja Pipe/Header?

Ilias 04-24-2006 11:03 AM

Yes I tested the complete set, with Ninja long manifold, and the ninja pipe, nice feeling, but not enough top end power,I think that the 8,0mm reducer will solve that problem, then you'll have a perfect engine...
