Default Ultimate Racing Engines - New Engine Line

Looks like another Nova-based engine brand is here.

Ultimate Racing debuted their Nova-based engine line this weekend at Montpellier GP. Ultimate Racing is most known for their brand, ProCircuit tires.

Unusual that it is only a two needle carburator according to the pics on neobuggy...would have thought they'd put a 3 needle on it

Looks like standard Nova carb to me. What current model .21 off-road Nova has a MSN?

Running Nova now..Is there any incentive to run these considering they are made by Nova..Is this motor one of nova's current motors with different cosmetics? Trying to decide on motors for this season..thanks

Availability to you will play a role.

The p5xlt is the baseline for all nova 5 port sleeves. The Fusion is nicer because it has the dome/dish piston, which has a bit nicer midrange pull.

The maxy cinco gets the lower head like the new ultimate here. The carbs are all the same.

I'd br willing to be this 8 port would be similar, if not the same to the older N821b, which had the tri-port exhaust. Guess we'll have to wait for pics. But between that sleeve and the Fusion X7; I'd def side with the x7. The tri exh 8 port was always a bit soft on the
bottom and never made up for it on top.

The good news is, they're all Novarossi. So pick the one you think will suit your needs and enjoy.

All the 5 ports run very similar overall. Same for any of the +4 series labels.

Hi all

Just read the review of the M5 engine on Neobuggy http://www.neobuggy.net/2013/04/10/t...ine-review-m5/

Soft bottom and good top? Sounds like a wrong pipe choise. The pipe looks like a 2096, right?

2096 is an awesome setup man , some might think it feels soft but check your laptimes

im sure the engine is great , its a novarossi , i would pretty much say its the same as a cinco bt and lucky 7 5 port but not the same as another 5 port

What's up with the included clutch? That's all I want to know. I'm a Cinco BT addict.

What would you like to know about the clutch? It's Ultimate's Compak Clutch. Nothing overly fancy about it, just a nice high quality, long wearing, excellent feel, clutch system.

Yearh, I know dude :-) Haven't tried a 2096 but RB2045.

It just sounds wrong that it should be lame

The Neo Buggy review said the 5 port seemed low on power, and for me that doesn't sound good. It reminds me of the Nvision 5 port against the Orion 5 port, same company owners and designers but engines are miles apart in performance. The Nvision was a good engine but nothing like the beast the 5 port Orion engines are. I think the best thing about it is that it is turn key so to speak with the clutch air filter assembly, pipe and clutch with clutch bell, but I bet you will be paying for the combo, I am curious if it is a 2096 ss or just a 2096

Are there any news on these engines yet? Is the M5 like an P5XLT or built with different components?

The internals are all P5. Including the cast flat top piston. The case, and cooling head are made to be low profile like the newer nova engines.

I have not seen the 8 port here.
