I can fully modify it and it will help quite a bit, but in the end those B2101 just aren't overly powerful engines and probably not well suited to a 9886/41032...You will end up with really good top end but the bottom end will be poor.... IMO these B2101 are mainly Buggy engines and just don't seem to make the kick that other engines make even after modifications....... Awesome Buggy engines tho, one of the best money can buy...but full out power monsters they are nowhere close !

Clutchbell bearings went out on me 4 minutes from bumping to the a main though. Still not bad for a ten year old truck, And a motor I had thought I ruined with 4 gallons on it.
No flame outs, all the power I needed just my lazyness kept another one of your motors out of the a.

I had the engine laying around and was thinking about putting it into an Inferno GT2. Do you think it would do ok in that? I have not ran the motor yet, so I don't know what it's power delivery is like. That is the main reason I wanted to see a dyno graph of it. What pipe/manifold/ carb insert do you think would be best in a GT? I'm not racing so rules don't apply. Thanks Neal.
IMO this is not a good GT engine..just not enough power ! but to be at its best it likes a 9 mm insert and a 2090 OS pipe on a 70 mm manifold......

Maximo, here is my question:
current engine FX k5v2 with 2058
problem: too much bottom torque!
need that smooth (yet snappy) bottom in buggy.
remember my novarossi times where my torero was almost undriveable for me in buggy because of that huge bottom end torque.
i switched to p5 and liked it.
please can you recommend a pipe for my k5 and a total different combo for me?
the new k3 would help?
or 2101?
which pipe then?
appreciate your help.

thats the new manifold that comes with the OS GT engine... 5 mm shorter then their offroad manifold...it will increase top end and peak power...
In the end I can definitely beef up that tuned B2101 .... but if its for GT I do suggest you looking for something with a little more power... GT cars are big and heavy and like power, the B2101 was designed for a Buggy with small tires on a slippery track...So right off the bat we are looking to make a square fit a circle......

maximo's right, xz-b spec2 is more of a GT engine. Lots of power. Difficult to drive in buggy. A handful in a truggy.

I understand. I bought the B2101 from you last February thinking a local hobby shop was gonna build a dirt track in town. Well they never did. Now I guess I'll get a GT to run in some local parking lots. I already have a 9886 pipe and 41032 and 41019 manifolds. What motor would you suggest for GT to run with this pipe and manifold. I don't want to break the bank since I already have a $500 engine I don't really need anymore.
RB Rally X 7 port
or
Paloma LTD 7 port
or
Ison GT
I can give a good deal on either of the 3
