I never liked the stock Buku setup, to me it felt mushy.

You're welcome to try this setup I found for the Buku that works well on a lot of tracks:

Unscrew the grub screws until they are flush with the outer diameter of the flywheel.
Screw 0: 2.75 turns in from flush
Screw 1: 2 turns in from flush
Screw 2: 1.5 turns in from flush

I haven't yet come across a track where I felt like I really needed to change this setup.

On our grippy track we could not run any stagger in the Buku or the bottom end would be too soft.....all shoes had to be equal if you wanted any sort of bottom end snap..... A Stagger bleeds off power and reduces bottom end to aid in slippery conditions.....on high bite it simply doesn't work well with any sort of stagger

My home track is essentially pure clay which forms a blue groove, and is about as grippy as it gets when it reaches that state. I haven't moved from this setup at our track for the 2.5 years I've ran it, and I have no issue with drive coming out of corners or clearing jumps.

From what I'm gathering I should leave the LSN around flush an just keep leaning the HSN.

Would appreciate a starting point from anyone familiar with this engine as I don't want to run it too lean just yet !!! Thanks
Try running the 6mm venturi, it will give you more bottom end snap.

Switch to a 2090 pipe if you want more bottom.

So ty is already running a different cooling head for quals today. Think he's having temp issues?

No, if you look the motor is marked TT1(early production), the other TT6(black head)

They released an article saying it was in fact temp issues and the motor was fading half way through the race. Put the prototype head back on and all issues went away

correct.
that´s the reason i´d never buy this engine.
ty´s driving style is already "temps-friendly".
my driving style is aggressive, always 10 to 15°C higher than calm drivers, that would not work in my hands..

How interesting thanks.. did you notice the manifold with what it looks like is 90, could be 90mm, so running a 'longer' setup which provides more torque and less 'peaky'.

Hey all, looking for a little info here...

I have a new B2101 with getting close to a gallon on it. I am having trouble getting it to run hot!!!

Last night I ran a 15 minute main and it came off at 180f... It was running great and fast with decent smoke , no signs that I would be running rich!

Now I know they say dont tune to temp, but isnt this too cold? Can it cause excessive wear if it is running this low in temp? I'm running the 2090 pipe, 6.5 venturi and Byrons 30% ... Thanks for any insight.
