An OS 2090 or Nova 9901 work best. A 2058 or Atom pipe will work in truggy if bottom is all you need. With any of those pipes, use a long header for truggy, it creates way more bottom on this engine. I used a Nova 41020 on my truggy with both nova and os pipes. The OS was a little better I think but they were close.

What about buggy , which pipe is a good starter for smooth power delivery

was wondering what the factory needle settings are. Or what the normal settings usually are. I seem to be a full turn out from flus on bottom and alot in from flush on top lol. No problems. Just has me worried im in that fat bottom lean top range. Dont want that

Stock setting:
Top: 1.5 turns out from all the way in
Bottom: Flush
Mid: 1/2-1 turn out from flush

Check the mid range first. On some of the carbs, it cuts off the fuel supply too much running the needle flush, then causing a rich bottom end setting.. To check it, remove the top needle assembly and look down at the holes in the mid range. Set so the holes line up and tune from there.

thanks gene. My son was given a brand new 1 that was broke in by adam drake and a almost new 1. I ran about 6 tanks out front of my house and slowly brought it up to race tune about the 5th tank. Then we went and he raced all day no issues. I just noticed that if you go an hour or so too rich on the bottom it would give a slight lean bog when trying to be snappy. Im pretty sure everything but the mid range is in the stock setting area. The mid range is flush.

not sure that’s possible, to lean bog if you richen a motor. If you richen it then it’s fat! N prob spools up slow
