Default Strip and clean after bench break in

As the title suggests,

Is it worth stripping down the engine and cleaning after doing a bench heat cycle breaking?

Yes, that way you can inspect and be sure all is good. Some do it before break in also to remove any foreign matter that might be present from the factory.

I like to disassemble before breakin, beacuse I tend to find shavings of aluminum, spall pieces. These would scratch your piston and sleeve up when finding it's way out of the motor during break in.

After breakin, I don't see the point in disassembly.. unless you suspect something is wrong.
