Default Loosening glow plugs

People have told me that loosening the glow plug and then immediately tightening it can help with the "sticky pull start" problem. Should i do this, or does this damage a nitro engine?

Perfectly safe, just loosen it about a thread which will lower the compression, which will make it easier to start when you have a new engine. Once it starts, just tighten it up.
