Default Throttle Really sticky!

Hey guys, i have a problem with my carb. I took my Revo out for a warm up run today, and noticed that the throttle is really sticky. It takes like 10 seconds to go to full throttle, and sometimes gets stuck at full throttle when i brake. I tried putting after-run oil on it, and that helped it a little bit but not a lot. Still sticky! Any ideas? Thanks!

You may need to take the arb off. and remove the slide by loosing the idle screw until slide comes out. the slide out rinse the carb and slide off real good with nitro and should be good to go. it might be a lil gummed up or a lil dirty

Ok, thanks for your reply. If i take my carb off, will i lose the tune of my engine besides the idle screw like the HSN/LSN?

Alright, i did what you said and cleaned the carb. It works great, but once in a while it gets stuck again. Should i just soak it in nitro fuel next time? Also, i'm facing another problem. Whenever i go full throttle, the slide disconnects from the linkage. Any ideas?

I got into this problem before, and I found out that it has something to do with my throttle linkage. What happen was my carb was not aligned properly, and when I went full throttle, the throttle barrel did not slide properly, it slides in an awkward angle, causing a bind. Might wanna have a look at that.

Also remove the boot on the slide and check for scoring and burrs. If its burring, ( warm it up, hahahaha)it could be binding inside the carb. Use a file to clean it off. spray it out with cleaner and reassemble with a dab of grease or after run oil to lube it.

Thanks for all of your replies! I really didn't want to turn down my EPA since i didn't want to give up power just for this. I'll take a look at my linkage.

Set your throttle EPA so that wide open you can still pull the slide about a 1/16 ". You will not be giving up anything except you will no longer pull the end off the slide.
