Need help choosing next motor.

I am currently running a b6 in my rc8. But for the spring I want to get a different motor try something new because my b6 is getting tired. I am looking at o.s. and Novarossi engines. My budget is under 300$. I want something that runs good, pretty decent tuning, but also will last me awhile:confused:. PLEASE HELP

I'd say Nova P5 would be right up your alley, or a plus 4..

keith09 12-10-2011 01:50 PM

Racing

keith09 12-10-2011 01:56 PM

What is the difference between the p5 and plus4?

pravesh736 12-10-2011 03:06 PM

p5 is a 5port motor n it has more bottom power suited more for truggies
plus 4 is a 4 port motor with a stronger top end power suited more for buggies ,,

i know there can be a lot done about power delivery like clutch adjustments n flywheel wt, etc .. but basically the above are the characteristic of the engines power delivery

I didn't know Nova made motors

Shouldn't this thread be in the electric section ?

Sorry guy's, just a personal pet hate of mine, it bugs me when people get them mixed up and I'm in a weird mood this morning so don't take offence.

A MOTOR runs on electricity and an Internal Cobustion ENGINE runs on fuel.

is it going into a Buggy or truggy ?

I agree with you, but the funny thing is I've seen more P5s in buggies and Plus 4's in truggies then the other way around..

keith09 12-10-2011 06:55 PM

keith09 12-10-2011 06:56 PM

Get yourself an s-works / s-power S7
They're made by OS and are pretty much a rebranded OS Speed ZX-B for half the $$$

A few of us are using them here now. I've put 6 gal into mine now and it's amazing

keith09 12-10-2011 08:13 PM

Thinking about getting a plus 4 mill.:tire:

lol sry .. :D.. but y get so fired up .. we call engines motors too .. dats why 1:1 scale cars are called motorcars too ... motor is a machine that converts other forms of energy into mechanical energy and so imparts motion .. it doesnt say it ONLY converts electrical enegry to mechanical ..
