Good day all, my picco boost
Since engine has been running quite high around 240 idel and 270 or so during running, decided to do a complete clean up.

The first eight pictures before clean up as they came out of engine.

The last five pictures are after clean up items with water and fairy liquid water

Please share the condition of my engine and thanks in advance.

Do you still have good compression? I think it looks pretty even before you cleaned it up. Looks clean and the browning on the button and the head of the piston look like it ran pretty clean. But if it has lost compression the sleeve would need to be resized or replaced along with the piston but I think from the pictures it looks really good before and after.:D

Thank you for the feedback, it does have good compression, I Am bit concerned as side of pistion is turning some what grey.

Can you also advise what is recommended way of cleaning engine form inside, once I used Loozen which is some what like WD 40 it may have removed some of the coating off it?

Do I just use water and laundry detergent to clean it with water then use air to clean and install back using after run oil? Thanks

My suggestion is talk to one of several engine moders here like Lance from RCRENEW.com or Neil from Clockworks. There are a few more out there as well. Talk to one of these guys and see what they recommend.

If the piston and sleeve are not scared or do not have grooves running up them then roll it. For cleaning it the best thing to use is either nitro spray or nitro fuel. Do not use water or soap!
