My T-maxx 3.3 has an engine rattle.. it will run but only at 1/4 to full throttle. It wont idle at all and it lacks a lot of power. What could be wrong with it?

..... rod could be wore out.. that would cause a rattle and poor performance.. put the pistion at TDC and rock the flywheel see if you feel any slop

I have the engine apart and their is play in the rear crank bearing and the piston pin in the piston not the rod and the rod on the crank feels good ..

I did that before i took it apart and their was some slop in it
