You can use any brand rtv sealent as long as it says o2 sensor safe.Get it from any parts store and save some time and money.

Lucky 7 is by far the easiest and the best seal. You dont have to take anything apart and it comes out like water so you dont have to spread it. Just squeeze it arounf the area and it dries to a nice rubber like texture and peals off easy when you need to dis-assemble. Silicone works OK but nothing like Lucky 7 for the ease factor.

Thanks Guys! :D
ps its always out of stock cause its soooo damn good. |
If you are going to seal an engine properly you have to dissasemble it.But chances are if you have an air leak its time to buy some O-rings anyway.

if you create a gasket with any type of silicone sealant i would say that its not done properly. |

not with Lucky 7. sealing an engine doesn't mean you need to gasket everything.

you obviously never used my stuff. N ive seen brand new hi dollar engines have air leaks out of the box. P.S. smearing silicone sealant on a nitro engine is crazy considering nitro eats silicone sealant then you end up sucking melted silicone through your engine. but its all good,,, if making silicone sandwiches for your engine to eat works for you then more power to ya. I KNOW MY STUFF WORKS. |

look back on this thread http://www.rctech.net/forum/offroad-...-products.html for discount codes. |
A few years back, sealing might have been important. These newer engines are o-ringed pretty good and I've never needed to use any goop.
As for money spent, expensive engines doesn't always equal quality. |
