Lucky 7 is by far the easiest and the best seal. You dont have to take anything apart and it comes out like water so you dont have to spread it. Just squeeze it arounf the area and it dries to a nice rubber like texture and peals off easy when you need to dis-assemble. Silicone works OK but nothing like Lucky 7 for the ease factor.

If I ever needed to use a sealant on my engine it would be this stuff, kudos to joe for bringing back air-seal!

James , carburetor on its way back

If you are going to seal an engine properly you have to dissasemble it.But chances are if you have an air leak its time to buy some O-rings anyway.

not with Lucky 7. sealing an engine doesn't mean you need to gasket everything.

if you create a gasket with any type of silicone sealant i would say that its not done properly.

Smearing sealent on the outside of an engine is crazy and can easily be damaged and leak again. If the orings are good in an engine you shouldn't have air leaks anyway unless you don't know how to properly assemble it.

you obviously never used my stuff. N ive seen brand new hi dollar engines have air leaks out of the box.

P.S. smearing silicone sealant on a nitro engine is crazy considering nitro eats silicone sealant then you end up sucking melted silicone through your engine. but its all good,,, if making silicone sandwiches for your engine to eat works for you then more power to ya. I KNOW MY STUFF WORKS.

A few years back, sealing might have been important. These newer engines are o-ringed pretty good and I've never needed to use any goop.

As for money spent, expensive engines doesn't always equal quality.
