Hey Tony, thx for the detailed reply.
Sadly though i couldnt get any extra run time yet, still lots of testing to be done. Im currently trying OS P4, 6mm venturi. I dont have the Dynamite 2053 pipe, but i do have a RB 2053, issit the same?
Btw wanna confirm if its this pipe ur recommending
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Hard-Anodized
Im running a Mugen and which short manifold would u recommend too?
Oh ya b4 i forget, u recommend to run on all for shims out of the box right?
Sorry for asking so much cuz im pretty lost n confused.
cheers

Wait until the engine has 1.5-2 gallons on it before realizing the full RPM and runtime capabilities.
The RB pipe should be close if not identical, yes thats the dynamite pipe we're running.
We're running the stock header, I think its medium/long
until the engine is fully broken in I run the stock shim stack... stock they are measuring around .039"... and I usually pull out a .004" and .007" for full race tune. Thats a safe head clearance, if you want alittle more torque and are tuning the engine precisely you can pull out the alum .011" and a .004" which would leave you with around .024" clearance. Optimal mileage clearance is ending up around .026"-.028" and peak power around .023"-.026".

Another good weekend in the books for JS at our club race. Didn't pull out the win, but the engine ran awesome. I'm starting to get the hang of this tuning thing after racing for more than 10 years!..lol.. I still can't get over how good these things run for the price they are!! I feel like the smartest man on the planet....

Hey Tony, on the pinch test do you want it to die at 3-4 seconds or rev up at 3-4 seconds?

I have been given a TX521R VOX that was giving the owner some issues with holding a tune. He replaced the original carby with one off a OS Vspec which improved it a bit but he gave up on it and gave it to me less the carb.I pulled it down to check the crank to see if I could use it in my Vspec and found the front bearing was leaking. I changed the bearing and fitted a carby, stuck into a spare buggy chassis, dropped it on the starter box and it fired up and idled smoothly. I let the temps get to around 200F and gave it a few quick bursts and it seemed very crisp. I am in need of a short term truggy motor and was after a bit of feed back on how they perform in a truggy. Reading through the posts they have won some truggy events. Is the power smooth or do they have a hard hitting bottom. It will have a Werks heavy 4 shoe clutch and one of the following pipes. Reedy 2035,axe rossi 2050 or a novarossi 2096 depending on feedback.
Thanks In advance Dave
