I think, IE I've not seen one run, it would be a decent starter engine, or Club racing engine in a truggy, but with the other (better) engines at similar or lower prices it would not be my first choice.

How can you say there are better motors at better prices if you have not even seen one? I'm curious to see them run too but I have no bias.

I just picked up one too but I'm not sure when I will start the breakin. It does look like a pretty steller motor. I've had other XP's, the .21 and .28 and they were great. The .21 definalety showed no weakness up against motors that are twice the price.

its the same basic engine as the old XTM 24/7 pro.... very similar to a Mach 427....... decent little starter engine IMO

My opinons are coming from the quality of the manufacturer (SH) producing them, and they tend to be less then other brands that are available..

Default .24

Break-in is done and went well but I am finding it hard to get a good race tune.I do think I'm close. I think once I get it it will be a good engine. Stay tuned for more updates.

Any updates or other opinions? I'm considering one for a back up motor to my Alpha.

I have one of them here. I ran it for a while in my Truggy and it is a great engine. It is made by SH like most of the other Dynamite engines. It is priced a bit high, but it is a good engine. I am not really a fan of the composite carb on those engines. SH used them on some of their other engines and they don't let the engine perform to its full potential.
