Im planning on buying the 5.9 nitro star from hpi do you have any suggestions.If you have owned one can you tell me any info bad motor good motor just need some info.And do you have any idea where i can find this motor under $230 on the web

Is this going in a Monster Truck. If so, I would get a Picco .28 or LRP .28. Cheaper and a lot better than the 5.9. I had the 5.9 in my Savage XL. Never ran right.

well im getting a new motor for the savage would it still be good im not sure new 2 nitro

do not get the 5.9. It is a piece of JUNK!

Get the Picco .28, LRP .28 SPEC 3, or the OS .30 VG. AL these engine are very good even stock. When you get it professionally modified these motors are the bomb.

At stock, the LRP .28 Spec 3 is a bit faster but not a difference unless you use a radard gun. When modified the Picco .28 is faster, it will get to the higher RPMs quicker and be consistant at holding it
