Default picco boost .21 break-in

just got the engine and ran a tank at idle and left the needles alone and the temps never got over 200 and noticed that there was aluminium dust on the plug so i took the header off and noticed scuffing but it has alot of pinch will the scuffing go away or is it toast?

I am no engine expert but you should always preheat your motor before you break it in to at least 200 degrees with a heat gun wich if you dont have you can get one really cheap for about twenty bucks at home depot or lowes.as for the scuffing is it really bad like the piston or sleeve has really deep gouges or minor scratches if its minor you should be okay, also i see you live in michigan where the outside temp is probally freezing try wrapping your head with a sock or aluminum foil to keep the heat in the head to get it up to temp above 200 degrees other wise you are not gonna get enough heat in the motor to properly break it in also check out the break in bible thread has alot of info how to do it properly hope this helps some.Good Luck

ya i did that and used a hair dryer and used a cut sock and got it around 190 and idled it for a tank, never took it outside though too cold but sent it in to have it broke in so we'll see if the marks are okay they were minor.
