I may be over thinking this but since the screw head "points in two directions" how do I know its pointed at 2 and not 8?

If you start at 2 o'clock flush and turn it out 2 turns, it will always be pointing at 2 o'clock. If you start at 8 o'clock flush and turn it 2 turns out, it will still be at 8oclock on 1 side and 2 o'clock on the other side, so either way is fine. ;)

Yea I guess that makes sense... In my lunacy I had myself thinking that I was turning it all the way in (similar to the high speed setting) then backing it out 2 turns etc... Either way, great little engine. Has a ton of bottom already. Scared to see what happens when it really settles in.

is there any timming difference between the GTR and GTRii cranks? is one better in performance than the other?

They are the same except the Plus has a DLC coating.

ran the 3 port arrow in my MBX6R yesterday and i was keeping up with the modded Nova P5s..... made them all ask what it was because they had never seen them before :)

Try.....the os speed....v spec crank on my arrow 5 ports.....it increases the low end and it's responsiveness significantly.....but must be on a os 2060...........power everywhere......

with the arrow pipe.....rpm....max out pretty quickly......

Seems the new arrow 2103 pipe resembles the Ofna 086 in shape....did anyone else have some time on the new pipe? How did it run? I'm trying to find a replacement pipe for the 086 but something built stronger.

without reading 86 pages is this a O.S. Xzb or Vzb clone

edit...
see it here
http://www.vpprousa.com/engines.html...category_id=85

Based off the O.S. Mugen Ninja JX-21 BO1A V-spec engine. (Compare to OS 21VZ-B Speed & Ninja JX21 B01A)

Yes I did. Pipe increases bottom end.....runtime still in the 8.30 to 9 mins
And the pipe wouldn't get dented easy.....mine over 3 races....and still looks brand new......super hard pipe.

Thanks! What pipe were you using before? So it increased bottom end, is this what you noticed coming from a 086?......thanks for your feedback

This engine is vspec based. So I used os 2060.........it is ok....smooth very good runtime but the low end is sluggish.

Engine was 3 port before. New is 5 ports....so the 2060 didn't work too well anymore.

Once I changed over to the Arrow pipe......it changed the low end dramatically. .....power everywhere. Only problem my runtime drops 1 min ++.....used a 7 mm venturi. ....haven't try a smaller one yet.......now engine freaking stable.....no mysterious flameout.....which I suffered in previously but only one or two occasion.

I've had this similar issue, but my case cracked roughly towards the end of gallon number 3 almost 4. The engine performs really well I like how smooth it is, but materials seriously needs improving.

Danny Teh 11-25-2013 12:57 AM

but........the breaking....of case have many. ....reasons. one main issue is the chassis flex.....it only have issue in excessive....flex.

Not just the issue of crankcase. ...but other known causes are like smash clutch bell bearings......main bearings go off....fast....the big scratch where the clutch bell sits......conrod breaking......all this caused by chassis flexing.

The Arrow GTR-21 is back in stock!
