i run a losi re11 on mine and it has a crazy amount of top end and still has a very strong bottom end. my engine is fully broken in and it likes to be ran about 240 degrees. fuel times are about 8-10 1/2 depending on how i tune it that day. track times are about 30 seconds a lap. track surface is pretty loose and dusty. i run byrons 30/11, bullit p3 plug, and the stock clutch setup with .9mm springs.

8 minutes on a 30 second layout huh? Have you tried other pipes? On my layout which is about a 41-44 second track that would not be a useable engine for races which are 20 minute mains.

i'll do sum more accurate testing. i only timed it once this year and it was still on the rich setting. i know i can squeeze out another minute or two easy. im suppose to race today so i'll check

Magpie brought up a very valid point that lap times is a poor way to determine layout size and fuel economy. It's just that I am seeing so many extream variations on run times, I'm trying to get a solid handle on it. There may be just too many variables to get an overall consencous on fuel economy.

ok here is a pic of the track i race on i'm doing about 41-43 second laps and the fast guys are doing about 36-38 second laps it's a very flowing track with a lot of wide open throttle and as you can see a big straight through the centre and i'm getting about 12-13 mins run time and thats with a hong nor 2080 pipe and this motor isn't a slouch either it also still has the extra shim in and running 1.0mm clutch springs with composite shoes...

whats a good low-mid range pipe for this motor? i wanna try out some other pipes. I like a really crisp and raspy sound :sneaky:

2072 will give u the bark your after, a few other pipes will give u better run times but for mine it's easy to hear what the engine is doing over the top of others, pitbull V corgies & the power bottom to top is great :cool:

Reedy 2035. I am running a OS Promod (Speed crank) with the GTR psr. The pipe gives it a awsome bottom and pulls all the way to a screaming top.I ran this pipe on a stock Vspec aswell and it was similar very strong bottom with a good top.

it is a fun track and it's not as hard as it looks either so many different line to take over most of the jump sections

has anyone tried a losi re10? i have a re11 and wanna know if the re10 will give me more bottom end?

Arrow Racing is made by GO Engines in Taiwan at their Taichung factory.
Bullit Engines is made by OS Engines in Japan at their Nara plant.

XZ = Long stroke
VZ = Short stroke

Arrow is based on the short stroke VZ. The engine is a clone of the VZ-B V-Spec. It doesn't share anything with the VZ-B Speed, except for the fact it was designed with that style bottom end lubrication (the oiling hole was moved from the crank pin onto the rod to increase lifespan).

Bullit engines are based on the long stroke XZ engines. The 216 is essentially a XZ-B V-Spec while the 218 is essentially a XZ-B Speed.

Everything fits in a VZ-B.

The only thing that fits on a XZ-B is con rod, wrist pin clips, front and rear bearings, carb retainer, backplate screws, and the entire carb (just switch whole thing, I wouldn't mess with mixing Arrow carb parts with OS ones). That's it.

Crankcase, backplate, crank, piston, sleeve, head button, head gaskets, cooling head, and head bolts are all different.
