Well I hate to make claims on runtimes...but I'd put a wager that my modified B5's mileage would top all of your engines

I have the stock 454/2.8 that comes with the losi 8t/2.0 and I do not think I get over 8-9 minutes. Maybe less, I need to check it again.

Anyway, what would be about normal for this engine?

Also, if I change to a .21 as I see many have in this truggy, how much power/speed should i expect to lose and also how much additional runtime would i gain?

Thanks in advance!

Well that's not entirely true. If you can make 11 1/2 minutes in a 45 minute main you will shave one pit stop. Sorry I couldn't resist.

simply awesome. i was able to pit at the 10 min mark in buggy with it, while leading pro buggy, so i wasnt taking it to easy on it. i kick myself everyday for getting rid of it for a orange head. i ran it in buggy and truggy and did very well with it. i ran it with the 0801 pipe of course and P3 glow plug, had more bottom with P4 but the tuning window was almost non-existent so i only ran the p4 if it was over 90 degrees out.

if i got a werks it would be a B6... just not a fan of werks though, not bashing them at all because they are great engines, personally i just didnt like them, had a weird power-plant to me.

I wasn't for or against werks ever, just never had one. Then i had a B5 land in my lap along with Clockworks. I don't know what a stock B5 runs like, but i have been breaking some in for the locals. Now I've had some big dollar modded engines and none of them have powered my truggy like the clockwork modded B5. None comes close to the fuel mileage of the B5 either. It's a big balled blue collar engine. Period.

Assuming that most will pit at 9 minutes during a 45 minute main, 11.5 shaves one pit. 9 min pits = 4 pits(5 tanks) 5 x 9 = 45. 11.5 min pits = 3 pits(4 tanks) 4 x 11.5 = 46. I don't see how pitting at 12.5 would shave anything over pitting at 11.5. 12.5 x 3 = 37.5 not gonna work. Unless you can go 15, you're not gonna get down to 2 pit stops so you might as well just stick to 11.5 min pits.

i probably should of mentioned this earlier (if i havent) im looking for a buggy engine... i just got a PSR kit for my orange head alpha for truggy but im taking some time away from truggy until spring anyways. ive driven a werks or two and they just felt weird but maybe a modded one is different...
