Default Engine Stays At High RPM After Hi-Speed Pass

I do a hi-speed pass and my engine doesn't come back down to idle. Once I hit the brakes it comes down. Any ideas why this might be?

Carb isn't closing all the way until you hit the brakes? Your endpoints not set right on radio?

Or the carb could have a notch in it that needs extra force to shut it. Got a return elastic or spring on it?

Check your carb boot, I have had that problem before and the boot was off the housing and not allowing it to close all the way.

When you say the carb boot wasn't on. Do you mean it was loose? What exactly do I need to check for?

make sure that carb boot is over the metal part and sitting inside the groove so that its not sliding off. Also dis/con the servo and open and close the carb while the engine is mounted, only pull in the direction where the servo would pull and make sure nothing is sticking or binding especially when you close the carb. If everything is ok there then you could be a qtr turn too lean on your hsn

I was actually planning on going out. I have a couple stadium trucks (nitro rustler and associated gt2) and a monster truck (t-maxx). I'm looking to get into the whole 1/8 frenzy but haven't found funds to start yet.

What days are you going to go? I've never been out to a track yet. But always wanted to go. Let me know!

with the engine OFF, use your TX to hold the throttle at wide open (WOT). let go, and see how far back it goes. from there, try pushing the linkage closed. if there is any resistance from the carburetor, you've probably got a notch or it's misaligned. if not, your servo horn or servo gears may be stripped... or you may have a bad sensor in the servo.

It's a Traxxas 2.5. The linkages are all good. I think my LSN is just a little too lean.

As for the track, I don't know if I'm going to go to Rev or Milestone. I'm actually a bit closer to Milestone. Is Rev particularly better?
