Not getting close. That definitely needs a pinch... The piston shouldn't come up through the sleeve.

Who'd you send it to?

please, this is not my p/s, but out of a friends losi rtr .27 mach engine. its near 3 years old now. i sent my v-spec p/s to rayaracing along with this, i hope he can get the .27 back into spec. it would actually run for about a tank pretty well.

today we were at the track and i clocked it at 240 degrees but it still showed a nice smoke cloud, i richened it up a bit and it would bog so bad lol. after the one tank he tried to go for another but couldnt get it re-started, so i looked at it and i was like wtf is the glow plug out? the motor had what felt like no compression, to which i then learned that it actually didnt, so i took it apart and sent it to ray, we'll see lol

Id say you dont know what your looking at. The only thing wrong with that piston and sleeve is it needs a repinch. If he hasnt cleaned the top of that piston, and thats the way it came out, is the reason that motor has run as long as it has. Arent you the one that has gone through a ton of motors and always had problems tuning them??????? Maybe if you knew what you were looking at youd have better luck......

piston looks fine to me. If your assuming its lean because there is no carbon on the piston, well, that just means he is running good fuel and not running the motor slobbering rich...
